Overview

Kaptio scales delivery through a partner network operating under formal SOWs and change control. This is not ad-hoc collaboration — it is a structured model where Kaptio defines the what and partners execute the how.

Kaptio designs. Partners deliver. Governance is shared.

Core Principle

  • Discovery stays in-house — Kaptio owns methodology, estimation, and solution design for the foreseeable future (18+ months minimum).
  • Implementation scales through partners — after discovery produces a solution design and SOW, partner teams execute.
  • Armstrong (Aquiva) is the reference implementation of this model.

Engagement Models

Partners engage through defined models depending on the programme need:

ModelUse Case
ScaleVolume delivery — multiple workstreams, sustained capacity
FlexVariable capacity — scale up/down with programme phases
OutcomeFixed-scope deliverables — defined outputs, acceptance criteria
SurgePeak capacity — short-term ramp for go-live or migration sprints
SustainLong-term maintenance — post-go-live support and enhancement

Governance

What Kaptio provides to partners

  • Solution design document (from discovery)
  • Golden configuration baseline
  • Acceptance criteria per milestone
  • Access to platform environments
  • Technical support via SLO Support pillar

What partners commit to

  • Formal SOW with milestones and deliverables
  • Change control process for scope changes
  • Regular status reporting to Programme & Delivery Management
  • Quality standards aligned with Kaptio’s methodology

Change control

Every scope change — no matter how small — goes through formal change control:

  1. Partner or customer raises change request
  2. Consulting pillar estimates impact
  3. Programme management approves or rejects
  4. If approved, SOW amendment issued before work begins

No work outside the SOW. This is the single most important governance rule.

The Armstrong Reference

Armstrong (Aquiva’s delivery programme) is the benchmark for partner delivery:

  • Strongest programme execution in the portfolio
  • Demonstrates the scale model working with formal governance
  • Template for how future partner engagements should be structured
  • North American delivery capacity with mature engagement frameworks
